Privacy Policy

BeStartup (“we”, “us”) is an AI platform that turns a startup idea into a business plan, pitch deck, and landing page. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? Email bestartupai1@gmail.com.

Information we collect

• Account — your email, display name, and profile picture, managed through our authentication provider (AWS Cognito). We never see or store your password.
• Content you create — the ideas, answers, plans, decks, landing pages, and any memory notes you add. This is yours; we store it to provide the service.
• Billing — handled by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer reference and your plan/credit balance, never your full card number.
• Usage & technical data — basic logs (requests, errors, timestamps) needed to run and secure the service.

How we use your information

• To generate your plans, decks, and pages and to run the AI co-founder.
• To operate accounts, meter credits, and process payments.
• To secure the service, debug issues, and improve the product.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your private workspace content to train our own models.

AI processing

To generate content, the text you provide (your idea, answers, and existing plan/deck/page content) is sent to third-party AI model providers through our routing provider, OpenRouter, and processed to return a result. Only what’s needed for the request is sent. Don’t paste secrets (passwords, card numbers, keys) into generation inputs.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of processors: Amazon Web Services (hosting, database, storage, authentication), Stripe (payments), and OpenRouter and its underlying model providers (AI generation). Each processes data only to provide their service.

Published landing pages

When you publish a landing page, its content becomes publicly accessible at a URL you choose. Don’t include anything private you don’t intend to share. Free-plan pages carry a small “Made with BeStartup” badge.

Retention & your rights

We keep your data while your account is active. You can export everything (Markdown or JSON) and delete your account at any time from Settings → Data & account; deleting removes your profile, workspaces, and associated content, and cancels any active subscription. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or erase your data — email us to exercise them.

Cookies

We use a small number of strictly-necessary cookies to keep you signed in (an authentication token and a refresh token). We don’t use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, the database is encrypted at rest and not publicly reachable, and access is scoped per account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

BeStartup isn’t directed to anyone under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We’ll update this page and the date above when this policy changes. Material changes will be surfaced in-app where practical.
